Overview

The ABHP meets annually during the ASHP Midyear Meeting. This year marks the 31st year that ABHP has met at the ASHP Midyear Meeting. As in past years, the meeting activities are geared toward providing a forum for:

• The discussing and developing strategies for achieving its goals and objectives
• Having meaningful dialogue and idea sharing among members
• Recognizing the professional achievements and contributions of its members and friends; and
• Raising awareness of minority health issues

Registration

There is no registration fee for participating in ABHP activities. With the exception of the Annual Luncheon, all ABHP functions and programs are free.

Meeting Programs

• Please take advantage of the opportunity to meet the ABHP Board of Directors and other strategic leaders at the ABHP Board of Directors meeting and at the Meetings Planning and Organizing Committee meeting.
• ABHP also invites you to a Hospitality Reception.  This is a great opportunity for you to meet old friends and network with colleagues from throughout the country.

Education Program

The ABHP Educational Seminar will address Medical Adherence: The Use of Medicines and Patient Adherence to Recommended Care. This program has been designed for all pharmacists, students, technicians, and any other health professionals interested in the topics. All sessions will be held in the meeting rooms of the Mirage Hotel, Las Vegas, NV. In addition, the program provides up to two (2.0) ACPE approved continuing education hours for pharmacists and technicians. Luncheon Tickets

If you are planning to attend the Annual Luncheon, you must purchase your ticket in advance. Click here to purchase tickets online. There are a number of students who are unable to attend the Luncheon because of cost. Please consider sponsoring a student by purchasing an extra luncheon ticket. Tickets may be purchased for students at a reduced fee if both tickets are purchased in one transaction. They also must be purchased in advanced.
