Director, Inpatient Pharmacy

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this position offers an opportunity to plan and direct the overall operational activities of the Inpatient Pharmacy Services Department. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.
- Consult with medical, business, and community groups to discuss service problems, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and promote health programs.
- Coordinates with other departments for administrative needs and effective control of drug distribution.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of service and monitors patient care and staff performance in relation to those standards, policies, and procedures.
- Develop instructional materials and conduct in-service and community-based educational programs.
- Develop or expand and implement medical programs or health services that promote research, rehabilitation, and community health.
- Directs and assures the maintenance of all department statistics and the preparation of all operating and financial reports.

JPS Health Network has been committed to improving the health of families and individuals in Tarrant County since 1906; JPS Health Network includes the 459-bed John Peter Smith Hospital, a network of community-based health centers and psychiatric services at Trinity Springs Pavilion.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of hospital pharmacy experience with a minimum 3 years of progressive administrative leadership experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required, Master’s degree preferred, and completion of a hospital residency program is desired. Current State of Texas Pharmacy license required.
