St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City is seeking a Director of Pharmacy for the St. Luke's Campus on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The successful candidate will lead the Pharmacy in expanding, contemporary pharmacy practice to positively impact patient care.
Job Description:
As Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of medication management for the St. Luke's Campus which includes a 350 occupied beds acute care hospital and its associated ambulatory facilities, a Level 1 Trauma designated Emergency Department and multiple physician practice sites. The facility has a full array of technology including CPOE, full automated dispensing cabinet drug distribution and IV admixture services. The departmental focus is the utilization of technology to guide practitioners in the delivery of safe and cost-effective drug therapy. As Director, you will be instrumental in preparing the department for this challenge.
Primary responsibility will be compliance with regulatory and Joint Commission requirements, supervision of the professional and unlicensed staff (40fte) and oversight of an ASHP PGY1 accredited residency. The campus is also a primary site for Long Island University School of Pharmacy with faculty on site.
St. Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital Center is a member of Continuum Health Partners with Beth Israel Medical Center, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Long Island College Hospital. As such, the Director reports to the Chief Pharmacy Officer for the health system.
Experience Required:
At least seven (7) years of progressively broader managerial experience encompassing managing cost-effective drug therapy and quality improvement activities.
Education:
An advanced degree and a NYS license are required.
Completion of an ASHP residency is preferred.
