Director of Pharmacy Services
The Director of Pharmacy Services would provide
oversight on the utilization of the information and technical resources required
for the successful operation of all Sparrow Health System Inpatient and
Outpatient Retail Pharmacies. Lead
the planning, design, implementation, evaluating and monitoring of a system-wide
corporate pharmacy plan. Other
responsibilities include:
- Develop short
and long-term goals for the Health System Pharmacies that support and reflect
the Health System Strategic Plan in conjunction with the associates, and the
Pharmacy System Management Team.
- Oversee the
development of standards for implementing pharmaceutical robotics, and
identifies automation and information system needs and standards in
coordination with the Information System
Division.
- Coach and
evaluate the System Pharmacy Management Team and maintain an atmosphere that
encourages high-performance and teamwork.
Located in Lansing, Michigan, Sparrow Health System
is a 676-bed, Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital, affiliated
with Michigan State University.
We are the regional medical center for pediatrics, cancer care, trauma,
neurological care, high-risk obstetrics and neonatal intensive care.
In January 2008, Sparrow
Health System opened a 450,000-square-foot
Tower designed to enhance the patient care experience by delivering
unprecedented levels of quality, safety, comfort, and privacy. The new Tower includes the region’s
largest Emergency Department, the region’s first Pediatric Emergency Room, and a
new Outpatient Pharmacy.
A Masters or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required. Current State of Michigan Pharmacy
licence required. Must be a
visionary with strong clinical skills and 5 to 7 years management experience in
a hospital pharmacy. Excellent
interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with
associates, physicians, family, patients and visitors.
Demonstrated leadership and
team-building skills a must.
